At INDUCT we design and build custom machinery, mostly in the context of measuring the quality of a product. This product is often itself also a machine. We can take care of the complete design, ranging from mechanical construction to software. If desired, we can also provide a CE-certificate.

A typical example of such a custom machine is a test bench. At the end of the production line, or at the quality inspection at the start of the production line, you want to know if your component meets all the specifications. We automate these procedures to increase consistency and reliability, and reduce cost. Predefined test sequences can then be applied to the system, whilst the response of the component is measured. When the test procedure is finished, a report is generated. These test benches can be integrated in your existing software environment, such as your ERP-system.

Sometimes the situation is more complex: the manual test procedure first needs to be converted in an automatic procedure. For instance, the operator ‘hears’ the difference between good and bad components. We then first gather (audio) data of good and bad components, and design a model that incorporates the operator knowledge. This model is then used to classify the components.

The choice of hardware and software varies from project to project, and depends on the specifications. As a National Instruments Alliance member, we make use of National Instruments products (such as LabView) whenever suited.
