INDUCT is an innovative engineering company a.o. active in the sector of agricultural machinery. Our mission at INDUCT is to bring innovative automation solutions to our customers. Some of our core values are:
- “Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler” (Albert Einstein)
- Our customers are our partners
- Quality & service
INDUCT was founded in April 2009 by dr. ir. Tom Coen. Tom got his PhD in Engineering from the University of Leuven in March 2009 for his work entitled ‘Model-based Predictive Control to increase the capacity of harvesting machinery in uncertain conditions’. This research was done at the division MeBioS of the Faculty of Biosciences Engineering (University of Leuven) in close collaboration with Case New Holland (CNH). In this research project a novel control methodology was proposed to control time-variable uncertain systems such as harvesting machinery.
INDUCT positions itself as a technology provider for machine constructors. INDUCT has especially a lot of experience on agricultural machinery and autonomous vehicles but is now gradually expanding its action terrain. INDUCT uses its vast expertise in a.o. control technology and rapid prototyping to offer design and implementation services, often in an R&D context.
Measurement campaigns are often the start of an R&D project. INDUCT has built up a vast expertise in selection, placement and measurement of sensors. This results in the following services:
- definition and execution of measurement campaigns: from selecting of the correct sensors over lending of sensors and acquisition system to interpreting the results. These measurement campaigns are often executed in close collaboration with the customer to maximize efficiency
- design and construction of custom systems for a.o. quality measurements
For INDUCT SMEs (KMOs in Dutch) are a very important market. Our approach to innovation projects aims at lowering the threshold to innovation for SMEs. We realize this by making use of the open innovation paradigm. This means we reduce the cost and the risk for our customers by making our fee partially dependent on the success of the project (one time success fee or a royalty per product). Another upside of this approach is that we are extremely motivated to deliver the best possible solution or product within the boundaries set out by the customer.
